Peter Volaris is an experienced and versatile music educator. Originally a classroom teacher with the education department (secondary level), his experiences also include performing, touring, composing (notably the Greek scores for the film Death in Brunswick) as well as other compositions for SBS broadcasting, and the development of his own music store and school which have been successfully operating since 1975.

Delivery is FREE on orders over $100.

All goods are delivered by Australia Post eParcel and include online tracking. We can deliver to either a street address or PO Box and every item is fully registered which requires a signature on delivery. Larger items such as guitars, amps, drum kits and piano stools are generally sent via StarTrack. Please note that orders sent via StarTrack are unable to be delivered to a PO Box.

Express Postage is also available for even faster delivery, usually (but ABSOLUTELY not guaranteed) next day. We'll either use Auspost Express Delivery or Startrack for these items, depending on your location as sometimes Startrack can be a quicker delivery time.

If delivery is attempted and there is no one present to sign for your item, a card will be left advising you to collect your goods from your local Post Office or Startrack depot.

PLEASE NOTE:- Delivery will only be attempted once so please make sure there will be someone at the address that can sign for your goods or feel free to change your delivery address to your workplace. If you have not picked your item up in 5 days, they will send a reminder card to your mailbox asking you to pick your item up. After 10 days they will send your item back to us. If your item is sent back to us, your item will not be refunded. If you wish for us to send you the item again, you will be charged a $15 fee (to help cover charges for the first failed delivery attempt), plus calculated postage fees to re-ship your item.

All goods are carefully packed and fully insured against loss or transit damage.

Goods are dispatched from our huge, fully stocked warehouse generally within 24 hours of receiving payment (excluding weekends and public holidays). The cut off time for orders/same day shipping is generally 8am.

Yes, you may pick your item up from either our warehouse in Heidelberg West or our Greensborough store. We'll call you when your order is ready to be picked up, which is generally within 24 hours after purchase. Please note, there are no order pick ups on weekends.

Living Music does not ship overseas. We do however, ship free to anywhere in Australia.

Online Orders

14-Day Change of Mind Returns

If you've changed your mind, you may return your online purchase within 14 days of receiving it, provided the item is:

  • Unused and unopened.
  • In its original packaging.
  • In as-new, resalable condition.
  • Returned with all accessories, manuals, packaging and any bonus items.

Eligible change-of-mind returns may receive a refund, exchange or store credit, at the discretion of Living Music Stores.

A 10% restocking fee applies to change-of-mind refunds only. This fee does not apply where you are entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.

Opened items may be accepted at Living Music Stores' discretion for exchange or store credit only, provided they remain in excellent, resalable condition.

Customers are responsible for the cost of returning change-of-mind purchases. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

For hygiene and safety reasons, opened headphones, in-ear monitors, reeds, mouthpieces, harmonicas, strings, drumsticks, picks, cleaning products, gift cards, software, digital downloads and other consumable or personal-use items cannot be returned for change of mind.

Special order, custom-made, clearance, final sale and discontinued items are not eligible for change-of-mind returns unless required under the Australian Consumer Law.

Products damaged through misuse, accidental damage or improper installation are not eligible for change-of-mind returns.


Faulty Products & Warranty

If you believe your product is faulty, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where required under the Australian Consumer Law, Living Music Stores will provide a repair, replacement or refund depending on the nature of the fault.

Most products are also covered by a manufacturer's warranty. Warranty periods vary by brand and product.

For warranty claims made after the first 30 days, customers are generally responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. If the warranty claim is approved, Living Music Stores will cover the cost of returning the repaired or replacement product to you.

In-Store Purchases

3-Day Change of Mind Policy

If you've changed your mind about an in-store purchase, you may return the item within 3 days of purchase, provided it is:

  • Unused.
  • In its original packaging.
  • In as-new, resalable condition.
  • Accompanied by a valid proof of purchase.

Approved change-of-mind returns for in-store purchases are eligible for a one-time exchange or store credit only. Refunds are not available for change-of-mind purchases made in store.

Once an item has been exchanged under this policy, no further exchanges, store credits or change-of-mind returns will be offered on the replacement item.

The following items are not eligible for change-of-mind returns:

  • Special order, custom-made, clearance, final sale or discontinued products.

'CHANGE OF MIND' RETURNS POLICY

 'CHANGE OF MIND' RETURNS POLICY: Living Music accepts returns and refunds for 'change of mind' within 30 days. In the case of change of mind, the buyer pays and arranges for return postage to Living Music. Once the goods have been returned and deemed to be in their original packaging and 'as new' condition, we'll then arrange a refund to the buyer. All 'Change Of Mind' returns occur a 10% restocking fee, which will be deducted from your PayPal refund.

'30 DAY WARRANTY' RETURNS POLICY

If your item is faulty or has an issue within 30 days of purchase date, Living Music will happily arrange and pay for return postage of your item and then either repair or replace, then return your item at no expense to you. In the unlikely case that your item is faulty, contact us right away as we may be able to easily help you troubleshoot any issues.

WARRANTY RETURNS POLICY

All goods sold by Living Music are covered by a minimum 12 month manufacturer warranty from purchase date. If your item has any issues outside of 30 days from the purchase date and with 12 months from your original purchase date, you may arrange with Living Music to return your item for either (Living Music's discretion) repair (if a minor issue), replaced (if not repairable), exchange (if item has major issue and cannot be replaced) or refund (if either repair, replacement or exchange cannot take place). Postage to return any items under warranty outside 30 days from the purchase date is at the buyer’s expense. Living Music will happily cover the postage costs to send the fixed/replaced item back to you.
