Ricky has been playing guitar for 15 years and ukulele for 10 years; he also dabbles in other instruments during his spare time! He has been teaching for 10 years and currently teaches in primary and high schools in Melbourne, as well as his work at Living Music Carlton.

Ricky studied at Greensborough NMIT and Fairfield NMIT and has completed his Advanced Diploma in Music and a Bachelors Degree in Music.

Ricky grew up playing rock and as he got older he branched out and played a lot of jazz, funk, classical, pop, and folk - just to name a few! This diversity means Ricky is able to teach all styles of music to his students.

Ricky is currently involved with IVY TRIP, a band he created with his sister. They have made waves in recent times, having their songs showcased on radio channels including SBSChill and RRR.

In his spare time Ricky loves to produce music, both for his own and other bands; he has composed music for online advertisements and loves to stay creative.

Ricky tailors his lessons to suit the individual; he believes that everyone learns a different way, so he adapts to their strengths. Ricky encourages his students to do their best in an easy going environment and most importantly, make sure that they are having fun!
