FRANCIS TAIT - GUITAR TEACHER

Pic to come.

Francis has been playing guitar for over 10 years and has completed his Diploma of Music at Monash University and his Bachelor of Fine Arts (Contemporary Music) at the Victorian College of the Arts.

Francis is a member of neo-soul/disco band Squid Nebula and 60s psych-influenced rock band the Vacant Smiles. Squid Nebula performed at the 2019 St Kilda Festival and have supported acts including Kylie Auldist and Mojo Juju. He also regularly sings and plays solo on the Melbourne gig circuit.

Francis is also one of the creators of troublejuice.co, a website that shines a light on local music, art and creativity.

Francis’ playing and teaching repertoire includes both covers and originals and spans rock and pop through to folk, jazz and blues.

Francis believes that learning the guitar should be about having fun and learning the songs you love. The basic fundamentals of guitar and all the skills you need to know can still be learnt playing the songs and artists you’ve always wanted to be able to play. Francis encourages each student to feel free to express themselves and pursue individuality.
